What is BREEAM Refurbishment and Fit-Out?

BREEAM Refurbishment and Fit-Out (RFO) is designed to mitigate the environmental impacts and improve the performance of non-domestic RFO projects.

The standard incorporates a wide range of RFO project types, including specific criteria for historic buildings.

The technical standard is divided into four parts:

  1. Part 1: External Envelope
  2. Part 2: Core Services
  3. Part 3: Local Services
  4. Part 4: Interior Design

Your project will be assessed and you will then be awarded an RFO certificate detailing the parts assessed and an overall project rating from “Pass” to “Outstanding.”
